I every other desktop mail client I've ever used, the ability to access the local folders is omnipresent. Last, the interface for non-account-specific use is horrible. Ideally, it would offer autocorrect integration in later macOS versions, but no luck there. The rest I can live with with the regular use of my third-party text replacement app (I use Typinator - and it does permit regex functions so that's my next task to work out). This wasn't just something I got used to with apple ios devices, it was actually a microsoft feature from years of using entourage.app and outlook.app. And it could really be whittled down to the ability to auto-cap words following punctuation and a space. Really, all I want is simple parity with mail.app and outlook.app with regard to typing. Simple things are all I ask, and it looks like I need to go third-party and test to see if they even work before assuming third-party is an option. Third, there are no options for tweaking typing as you go. Since they don't really support their product, I figured I'd either help with what I could or, sadly, steer people away from it. because I was hoping there would be some community support here, or over at stackexchange. That's why I'm replying to this here in reddit right now. Articles online are vague and I don't feel like I should have to pay more to work out a problem that isn't solely mine to begin with. I don't want to restart the app every time I try to send an email. Looking online and it's a common issue and they only offer the recommendation to fix something on your end, like it's your own fault, or restart the app. This is a daily occurrence for me, probably 2-3x daily, if I were to keep track.

Half the time, you end up going to try to re/force send and it gives an error where you must compact your folders or restart the app. I've been using it for about 6mo now and I really, really want to like it, but stupid things just screw it up, daily.įirst, it never sends mail.
